I do spray perfume once in a while, but certainly not the type who overdoes it to the extent that the sensitive olfactory system of the cute guy seating next to me will affected just because of strong perfume I wear. Perfume is one of the woman’s basic commodities aside from shoes, bags and cosmetics. Just as much as I love bargains so with discount perfumes.
But with so many celebrity fragrances available in the shopping aisle today, it makes you apprehensive and totally bewildered and undecided what to choose. Will I pick Burberry Perfume over Armani Perfume?
Since we are talking about celebrity fragrances here, I am quite overwhelmed whenever i see rows of celebrity perfumes conspicuously displayed in boutique’s aisle. Just a little trivia for everyone, this trend started in 1988 when Elizabeth Taylor launched her White Diamonds fragrance. And since then, every personalities had follow through, like sort of bandwagon. In fact while driving down in the Sunset Boulevard your eyes will always be greeted with life size billboards of celebrities endorsing their own fragrance or beauty products.
Going back to celebrity fragrances, given the fact that they are endorsed and even the notes chosen where personally handpicked by them, the question would be, do all celebrity perfumes are really wearable? Skeptics might prefer discount perfumes rather than shelling out a huge amount of money for celebrity fragrances, that is what we call recessionista baby!
I will spare your nose for some fragrance testing. Though I have to admit that I haven’t tried sniffing all of them, I will gladly give my views on the ones that I’ve tried that did not work for me. Or should I say my olfactory organ simply dishes the fragrance out. As for Mariah Carey’s, one thing is for sure, you cannot reach high notes with it because of its nearly choking sweet scent.
I love Gwen Stefani, her songs, her impeccable style I am a fan of hers. That is the reason why I picked her Harajuku Lovers Baby Eau De Toilette Spray. No, the fragrance is not overwhelming; it is too simple that no one will notice that you are wearing a perfume. Maybe this will work forwallflower types.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. This is so true. You might be a little apprehensive buying Britney Spears’ fragrance. Maybe it’s because of the ordeal she had gone through, but you will be surprised to know that her fragrance is worth for your penny. The same hold true for Paris Hilton. We all know her partying ways and her drunk- driving charges. One can bathe and drown herself without getting tired of Paris Hilton Perfume. The review might sound hyperbolic, but that is what a friend of mine had said.
